Vacancy for Incumbent

The parish of Derriaghy is located two miles north west of Lisburn and six miles south of Belfast.  It consists of two churches, Christ Church on the Derriaghy Road and St Andrew’s on the Colinglen Road.  There are approximately 400 households and the parish is in a strong financial position.  There is a modern, well-appointed Rectory with four bedrooms.

We wish to appoint an incumbent who will:

  • offer effective pastoral care to parishioners of all age groups;
  • develop and encourage new and existing lay ministries;
  • help formulate a parish strategy for the next five years;
  • facilitate both traditional and contemporary forms of worship;
  • continue to foster warm ecumenical relationships within the locality;
  • work within the Connor Diocesan vision strategy.
